What is an E-BOOK?
An electronic book (also e-book, ebook, digital book) is a book-length publication in digital form, consisting of text, images, or both, and produced on, published through, and readable on computers or other electronic devices such as a Kindle, Nook, iPad, iPod, Blackberry, Sony Reader, etc.
How Do I transfer e-books to my handheld device?
Most e-books are transferred to handheld devices including Palm, Pocket PC, iPhone and iPod Touch, by “synchronizing” the device with your computer. If you are not familiar with synchronizing your device, you should consult the instructions for your specific device.
What types of e-book formats are available?
E-book titles can be available in several formats, each with special software required for reading. Currently, these are the most popular formats being supported on this website:
The reader software you have installed on your computer or reading device will determine which e-book format you should purchase.
Are the Greenhouse Books able to be downloaded onto my Kindle?
No, but most of our Greenhouse books are available at Amazon.com so you can enjoy on your Kindle.
Can I print Greenhouse e-books?
No, Greenhouse e-books are for viewing only on your authorized device. The print feature is disabled on all Greenhouse downloadable publications. If you would like a printed copy, please purchase a hard copy of the publication.
What is DRM?
DRM stands for Digital Rights Management. A publisher or author of an e-book, not the retailer, determines the level of restrictions to be applied to each e-book, including how many times the e-book can be downloaded for single purchase, and the number of devices to which the e-book can be transferred.
If an e-book is encrypted, or copy-protected, the e-book can only be read on authorized computers or handheld devices by authorized users. On the other hand, if an e-book is unencrypted, or not copy-protected, the e-book can be transferred to personal computers or reading devices an unlimited number of times for personal use.
